Tutorial pour enlever ou mettre les db heaters sur Akrapovic
Publié : 13 mai 2007 04:15
(1) Standard Akrapovic fitted with Baffle.
(2) Unscrew the 3 allen bolts - Be BLOODY CAREFUL with the top bolt as it can easily fall into the exhaust if you haven't got a hold on it!
(3) Take hold of the baffle and pull to dislodge the outer fitting. If it is stiff (never been out before and greased) then a pair of pliers may be required, but put a rag on the jaws so you dont mark your Baffle.
(4) Remove the outer Baffle ring.
(5) Extract the Baffle.
(6) Exhaust with Baffle removed.
(7) Re-fix the outer ring with the three allen bolts (having greased them nicely with coppercrest). Be careful of that top bolt again!!!
1. 2. 3.
4. 5. 6.
7.
Be prepared for the NOISE and complaints from the neighbours.
* Baffles are a legal requirement and should only be used for 'race' purposes. Without the Baffles in you might be prosecuted by the local constabulary.
They have nothing to do with the Catalytic conversion process, they merely reduce the dBA output at the pipe, although on some machines the back pressure that they create is used to obtain the correct engine performance.
